This Wire Strainer has a spring to hold the latch flipper tight against the cog spool, which makes tightening the wire safer.
The EZ-Daisy Wire Tightener
Identifying tension on your wire is simple, as the spring compresses the first notch represents 150 lbs and second notch 250 lbs of tension.
Tension Indicator Springs provide additional value:
Tension indicator springs have a Class 3 galvanized coating and strong tug links. The spring has a holding strength of over 2,200 pounds. This makes it the highest strength and longest lasting spring on the market. Use with High Tensile Wire. (Smooth or Barbed) Length (uncompressed): 10¾"
Features a rounded handle for added strength and ease of use.
This crimping sleeve is used to secure 14 or 16 ga smooth wire at terminations and splicing. When crimping sleeve, a crimping tool is required ( Crimp Tools ), using the slot marked 1-2. When crimped properly the sleeve will have a cylindrical shape. A properly crimped sleeve will provide full breaking strength of the wire. Review Image & Manual for guidance. Made in the USA.
This crimping sleeve is used to secure 12 ½ ga smooth wire at terminations, inline strainer placement and splicing. When crimping sleeve, a crimping tool is required ( Crimp Tools ), using the slot marked 2-3. When crimped properly the sleeve will have a cylindrical shape. A properly crimped sleeve will provide full breaking strength of the wire. Review Image & Manual for guidance. Made in the USA.
The C2L sleeve is 70 percent longer, works in same applications as C23 with fewer sleeves, so you can achieve same gripping strength at less cost.
This crimping sleeve is used to secure 10 ½ ga smooth wire or 14-15 ½ ga High Tensile Barbed Wire at terminations and splicing. When crimping sleeve, a crimping tool is required ( Crimp Tools ), using the slot marked 3-4. When crimped properly the sleeve will have a cylindrical shape. A properly crimped sleeve will provide full breaking strength of the wire. Review Image & Manual for guidance. Made in the USA.
This crimping sleeve is used to secure 8 ga smooth wire or 12 ½ ga Barbed Wire at terminations and splicing. When crimping sleeve, a crimping tool is required ( Crimp Tools ), using the slot marked 4-5. When crimped properly the sleeve will have a cylindrical shape. A properly crimped sleeve will provide full breaking strength of the wire. Review Image & Manual for guidance. Made in the USA.
Split Bolt Line Taps ensure electrically tight connections on galvanized wires. If the electric hookup wires are hand wrapped, poor electric contact may develop when the fence is heavily shorted. It is good practice to join electrified fence wires with a Split Bolt Tap by bringing all hot wires at a fence end post into one tap. It will hold up to four wires at once, depending on wire size. If the lower wires make it difficult to maintain proper voltage, it is easy to disconnect wires as needed. Troubleshooting is simplified by isolating wires and testing with a voltmeter and portable fence charger.
The open tap crimp sleeve is good for making permanent electrical connections on 12½ ga and 14 ga wire smooth wire. The advantage of this sleeve is the open side that allows for installation after wire has been tensioned. Do not use it for connections requiring strength. A crimping tool ( Crimp Tools ) is normally used to compress the open tap sleeve using the slot marked 3-4. If you need a removable electrical connection consider a ( Split Bolt Line Tap ).
The Gripple delivers significant time savings when joining and/or tensioning wire because of the simple and fast design. The Gripple Plus has a patented ceramic locking mechanism that delivers superior grip and load strength. The internal ceramic roller is rock-hard, super-tough and designed to grip high tensile wire resulting in a bond that lasts season after season.
Simply push wire into the opposing ends, push through leaving at least a 2" tail this will allow for grabbing to easily adjustment and/or tensioning. Once in position, serrated rollers grip the wire as soon as reverse tension is applied. The Gripple Jumbo plus is non-releasable and does not work with the Gripple Key. The Gripple Jumbo Plus can be used on 10 - 12 ½ gauge smooth wire. Ideal for use with larger diameter Trellis Wires. Consider a torque tool so you can apply tension and make future adjustments (always leave a 2" tail).
Galvanized Spiral Nail make the H style end or corner braces neat, strong, and simple to install. They are used to hold the top horizontal rail in place between the end post and next brace post in the ground.
